Invisalign in Balwyn

There is a solution to having straighter teeth without having to wear the traditional metal braces.

Known as ‘invisible orthodontics’, this type of treatment offers you the choice of wearing a clear and removable appliance while straightening and aligning your teeth. This is often a favourable option for adults who have professional careers and who don’t feel comfortable wearing braces for extended periods of time. The technology behind invisible orthodontics is highly advanced and often gives patients a much shorter treatment time.

Aligners are replaced with an updated set every two weeks, until the desired results are achieved. Invisibility is just the first on a long list of Invisalign® advantages. For a start, unlike fixed braces Invisalign® aligners can be removed, so you can eat normally and maintain your normal oral health routine.

Invisalign for any age!

You are never too old or young for Invisalign! Whether you are looking for early intervention treatment for your children or you are an adult looking to straighten your teeth, we can help!

At iSmile Studio, we recommend that your child recieves two phases of Invisalign treatment throughout their
childhood for optimal results. These phases are split into Phase 1 and Phase 2

Invisalign First

Age: 6-10 (Early intervention)

Phase 1:
As the child and their smile grows some problems with jaw growth and their teeth can be seen while they still have some baby teeth. At this stage, we can see issues that may need early treatment to prevent more complicated issues in your childs future. When Invisalign First is combined with new Invisalign Palatal Expanders, your children can create room for growing teeth and ensure they come out straight without the need for metal braces and metal palatal expanders.

Invisalign

Age: 11+ (Teens and adults)

Phase 2:
Once the permanent teeth erupt, Phase 2 treatment can begin to move the permanent teeth into their final position. This completes the alignment of the teeth and jaw.

Invisalign in Balwyn comprises a series of virtually invisible plastic (clear trays) that you wear to change the positioning of your teeth over time. Compared to traditional braces, they cannot be seen when worn making them an appealing choice for adults and professionals. In the procedure, your teeth will be digitally scanned, scanning the arches of your teeth from where you receive your first tray to shift the shape or position of your teeth. You will get another tray that again changes the teeth slightly more. Following a series of trays, your teeth will straighten and get to the desired position.

You might be a right fit for Invisalign if you have crooked teeth – most cases of crooked or misaligned teeth are fixed with this procedure. The system works for people with overbites, crossbites, underbites, and open bites. It also works for those who have crowded teeth and gaps between teeth. That being said, not everybody can be a good candidate for Invisalign in Balwyn. At iSmile Studio, our Invisalign clinical expert will assess you in Balwyn, Melbourne will have to assess your individual case and tell you whether or not Invisalign is the right option for you.

As well, you need to have good oral hygiene to receive Invisalign. People who receive the procedure should refrain from smoking because it can interfere with their trays or make them dirty. And, if you smoke too often whereby you have to remove the trays, then Invisalign may not be effective for you.

iSmile Studio orthodontics offers effective Invisalign treatment to bring back your crooked or misaligned teeth to the right position. We utilised state of the art technology and the best practices to ensure that you have the best outcomes.

The consultation period is generally complete in a few weeks. Your dentist will start with a consultation to evaluate whether the procedure is right for you, then complete a customised treatment plan which highlights step-by-step procedures and timelines.

Then, once the plan is approved your unique Invisalign set will be created, wearing each set of aligners for about 20 – 22 hours a day, changing aligners every 1 – 2 weeks as per directed. As each set of aligners is changed, they will gradually shift your teeth into place, until you reach your beautiful new smile.

You will have Invisalign for about 12 to 18 months. Often, you will be required to re-visit our studio in Balwyn, Melbourne for regular check-ups every 6 to 8 weeks to check how the treatment is progressing. The orthodontist will check if the aligners fit well and make adjustments where needed.

Here’s whats included:

– Conversation regarding your dental needs, aspirations and concerns
